Porcupettes passing the torch….

It is with a heavy heart that I must tell you that December was my last month at the Porcupine’s Quill. As of January, Stephanie Small will be stepping in to take my place as the PQL intern.

My steadily growing collection of PQL books....

Before I go, I wanted to write to you all and to thank you, whole heartedly, for being my friends—via cyberspace—while I have been an intern at the Porcupine’s Quill. A lot of the work I have done has been in an effort to reach out to you guys—our fans!—and I was so happy that you were willing to meet me halfway. For everyone who played in our contests, left comments on my blog, liked our posts on Facebook, and retweeted us on twitter, thank you, very much, for your support.

After all, we’ve been through a lot together. You were with me when we decided to start posting photos of PQL books being made on Facebook and twitter. You were there when I started the “New for…” series, keeping you up-to-date with the happening at PQL on a monthly basis. You followed me through all my crazy contests, even stopping by to enter a few times. You humoured my many, long-winded book reviews and kept up with all the author interviews I posted. You even left a few comments on the behind-the-scenes event postings I put up. I hope you have enjoyed keeping up with us while I’ve been working here. I have certainly enjoyed working with all of you.

Here is a cross section of my internship at the Porcupine’s Quill….

You will be in very good hands with Stephanie. Stephanie comes to us with very high recommendations, and she already has a great deal of experience in the book publishing scene. To top matters off, she is well-practiced in the art of HTML coding, something she certainly has over this sad Porcupette!

If any of you want to stay in touch, I would welcome your friendship! You can always follow me at @kateicely on twitter.

Thank you again for your interest in PQL throughout my time here, and thank you for participating on all the shenanigans I got up to. I will miss you all greatly … and I will miss the Porcupine’s Quill.
