Hello friends at Wilfrid Laurier,
I hear that you guys are studying Richard Outram’s Mogul Recollected this fall! We could not be happier here at the Quill! In fact, to express our excitment and pleasure, we’ve set up a bunch of features here just to help you out with your studies. If that won’t cheer you up and shake you out of your back to school blues, I don’t know what will!
The first, and probably the most exciting, feature is our Fabulous free giveaway! Here at the Quill we will be giving away THREE free copies of Mogul Recollected. But more on that later….
I would like to first inform all of you that we will be selling Mogul Recollected online as an eBook. Want to save some cash this fall? Arms getting tired of lugging around all those heavy novels? Not much of a fan of those cumbersome hard copy texts (what are you doing in English then anyway??)? Ebooks are for you! Get Mogul Recollected here for only $4.99. It should be uploaded in the next couple of days, so keep checking back!
Also to assist you guys in your studies we have composed and compiled some study questions. You might find these will help you as you read the text to alert you to key issues and themes. Alternatively, they can be a great study tool to help you get ready for the exam! Find them on our website here. Just scroll down to the “Discussion Questions” heading.
To be entered to win a FREE hard copy of Mogul Recollected all you have to do is answer one simple question–and the answer can be found right here on our very website! Just click here to be taken to Mogul Recollected’s title page. The answer will be found in the first couple of paragraphs! My question to you is this:
What real life incident inspired Richard Outram’s collection of poems?
Submit your answers to my email account at email@example.com. Be sure to include your name and use an account that you check often! This is how we will get in touch with you to let you know you won!
The deadline is Friday, September 30 by midnight.
(If you want a chance to enter in the contest again and improve your chances you can do the following. Once you have submitted your answer to my gmail account, find us on twitter @porcupinesquill. Send me a tweet answering this question: What kind of animal is Mogul? Bonus points if you also link me to a photo! Tweets will only count for those who have already submitted an answer to my query via gmail.)
