Richard York, featured in the upcoming issue of the Devil's Artisan, will be giving an artist's talk at the Mira Godard Gallery on December 9. The Salt Spring Island-based woodcut artist will discuss the wide variety of influenced that have informed his complex reduction prints, from Japanese Ukiyo-e and Bohemian modernism to Baudelaire, Northrop Frye, and T.S. Eliot to German Expressionism, the Provincetown Printers, and the British Woodcut Revival, and beyond. Limited seating is available, so RSVP!
