Out and About: Shane Neilson’s On Shaving Off His Face Book Launch

Shane Neilson launched his raw, intense and intelligent collection of poetry, On Shaving Off His Face, to a delighted audience at The Steady Café & Bar in Toronto on Monday, June 8, 2015. Also participating at the event were Marc di Saverio and Stevie Howell, who contributed their reading chops, and Jacob McArthur Mooney, who hosted for the evening. If you missed the launch, have no fear—we have a few event photos to cheer you up!

Shane generously donated proceeds from the sales of On Shaving Off His Face at the launch to the Guelph branch of the Community Mental Health Association. If you’d like to make a donation, visit the CMHA website.

Thanks to all who attended the launch. In particular, we’d like to thank Marc di Saverio,  Stevie Howell and Jacob McArthur Mooney for rounding out the cast of characters at the event. We’d also like to give a shout out to the folks at The Steady for taking care of the food and beverage needs of all in attendance.

portraitHope you enjoyed this account of the launch.

Cheers, sig
