Out and About with the Quill: Alec Dempster’s Lotería Huasteca

Last week, we here at the Porcupine’s Quill were very pleased to work with Pages UnBound in order to launch Alec Dempster’s new book of woodblock prints and texts, Lotería Huasteca. The event took place at the beautiful Gladstone Hotel in Toronto and featured a captivating performance by Mexican son huasteco trio Tlacuatzin.

If you couldn’t make the event—or just want to relieve the wonderful night—take a gander at this collection of images and videos to help get a sense of what went down.
