Every Friday, the PQ Weekly Roundup collects the most shared links in our social media network—bookish articles, reviews, quizzes, recommendations and more—in convenient digest form.
- We were pleased as punch to see The Essential Daryl Hine in Partisan Magazine’s Year in Books post. Particularly when it’s called “the ideal way to get to know a poet who deserves to be better known.” (We think so too!)
- Shane Neilson has a brilliant interview with Open Book Toronto that talks about poetry and pain. Such a great reminder that poets come from all walks of life, and that their differing experiences make for some darn fine poetry.
- I love a good feel-good story. This Washington Post article shows how students helped to save their school library—and their beloved librarian’s job.
- Who doesn’t like getting a book for Christmas? Likely not anyone reading this blog, that’s for sure. So I think we can all agree that this Icelandic tradition of gifting loved ones with books on Christmas Eve needs to be adopted, stat!
- And last but certainly not least, we want to thank you so very much for being such wonderful and supportive readers in 2015! Warm holiday wishes for you all here.
Thanks to everyone who took a moment out of their day to visit our little blog. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all!
