Celebrating a Lifetime of Achievement in Book Publishing

As you might remember back in January, the Porcupine’s Quill’s very own Tim and Elke Inkster were awarded the eleventh Robert R. Reid Award and Medal for lifetime achievement in the book arts in Canada by the Alcuin Society.

Normally, one might expect a slightly more … ceremonial … ceremony when it comes to bestowing the award, but with the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing measures, it was far more prudent to have a more intimate and informal gathering in celebration of this honour. Devil’s Artisan Editor Don McLeod was on hand to take a few photos of the presentation.

The talented winners accepted their award in the back garden of the shop on Main Street in Erin Village.

Of course, a few libations were in order to go with the award. Look at those smiles!

Many thanks to Chester and Camilla Gryski for delivering the award, and, as always, to Don McLeod for the wonderful photos.

Congrats Tim and Elke!
