Every summer, the days get longer, the sun gets hotter … and the book awards announcements start coming. Often set during big summer conferences like BookExpo and ALA, this year’s awards announcements, like everything else these days, were virtual. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t celebrate all the hard work and dedication of the authors whose books were nominated.
